Do any of you guys shoot 22" bolts? A guy I know who deals Horton's said he shoots 22" bolts and said they work great.
What difference would the extra 2" of the 22" bolts make? rather than a 20" bolt.

My 20" fly just fine and zip through a deer like a hot knife through butter..

Yeah I use 20" Bolts too. He just suggested the 22" bolts cuz he said they fly flatter. I just didn't know if he was yankin my chain or what.

The Bemans are heavier, and $36 a half dozen. The Gold Tips are lighter but are $40 half dozen.

The Bemans are good carbon bolts and with a 100gr. BH should be in the 424-425gr total weight. The Lazer II's are a good bolt and ya could have them cut to 18" for the Phoenix with a brass insert front and 100gr. heads. They shoot really great from mine. ;D

I'm not sure if I would want them cut to 18". I'd stay at 20"
I just don't know whether I want weight with the Bemans or speed with the Gold Tips (without the insert)

For deer you would be good ta go, with moose I would go to a heavier set up. The one my Wife got this past Sunday was with a Phoenix however was shooting a Lazer II @ 18" and a brass insert with a 100gr. slicktrick. Complete pass through.... ;D @ 30 yards.

I shot my friends Beman Thunderbolts last night, hardly any difference in speed from my 2219 aluminums. I'm gonna get Gold Tips
