Hello all, I currently have a class B cdl with air brakes, I am curious as to getting my tanker endorsement for it so I can help out a buddy who is just starting a business and plus earning a little extra money. Does anyone have their cdl and their tanker endorsement? Just curious as to what hoops the state is going to make me take. I didn't know if I could just go in and take the test on the computer or would I have to do the whole driving exam over again. Thanks in advance.

Tanker is just an endorsement. Should be written only. Moving up to class A will require another driving test.

Thanks for the reply deadeer. I will look into what I will have to read up on. I downloaded the CDL manual to my laptop. There's practice test online you can take as well.

Sorry for the delay responding. To those of you who are interested there are 20 questions and you have to score 16 correct in order to pass. I missed 1, and now have my new license in hand. Cost's $19 if you pass and get a new license. Doesn't cost anything to take the test.
