A buddy of mine purchased an R29 from Ravin this year. After all was said and done, he dropped right @ $3,000 on it.
While I personally think he's nuts for spending that kind of money on a crossbow, I was @ his house today and he shot a 100 yard 3 shot group that was about the size of a baseball.
I've seen all the ads for these things and I figured that the "average joe" would have a tough time pulling off good groups @ 100 yards, but my buddy was dropping 'em right in there.
I have no clue how well it will hold up with use, but that crossbow is very fast and very accurate.

AND very narrow!!! A customer has one and I shot it last winter over my chronograph. The actual fps with a broadhead was only 10 fps less than advertised. He's had a problem of the vanes coming off of the arrows.

Yeah, $3k is retarded.
Word to the wise, have seen many reports of them coming apart. Also have heard the reports of being super loud.
Be that as it may, they look cool.
Pretty much any xbow can shoot a decent group at 100yds with a QUALITY arrow, good conditions, quality scope, AND enough elevation!
I talk to a couple guys with Excals that do it regularly.
Pretty sure 10pt has a 470fps xbow now that is cheaper, with a great reputation.
Not knocking the Ravins by any means. They came out swinging and bold, and have backed up their claims. So got to give them credit for sure.

deaddeer
There has to be a tremendous amount of stress placed upon the cables/cams/limbs on those crossbows that's for sure. As far as it being "super loud", I didn't find it to be much louder than the crossbows I've shot and saw other people shoot. Having said that, I'm hardly an expert of all things crossbows.
Like I said before...it's very fast, very accurate (and I'll add) very expensive...LOL.

Ravin’s “rifle” advertising campaign has turned me off to them.

My info is just internet readings. Have seen one personally, but never shot or heard. As said, not knocking them, just reporting the buzz.

Get a killer instinct furious pro 9.5. Lifetime warranty and shoots better in my opinion for 700 bucks. Add a good quality scope and some custom bolts and your in the game for a grand.
