My buddy and I have been looking for some good elk hunting packs. We found some popular models here. If anybody on this forum knows some other websites with good elk hunting backpacks, feel free to share. Thanks a lot! I have the Eberlestock backpack and love it. Its biggest advantage is it is lighter weight than most of them.

I bought an Eberlestock team elk pack for my upcoming hunt. I haven't used it in the field yet but I've been putting in a lot of road and trail miles with 40 lbs in it. It's pretty comfortable. I walked a 10k road race last weekend with it.

I have a KUIU frame, it allows me to quickly switch between an 1850 day pack or a 6000 pack for all my gear. Carries weight like a dream. Its a lot of cost up front but i use my 1850 all deer season and haul a stand and sticks with it. Usually 25# worth of gear. Exo is supposed to be better but you pay fornit there too.
Eberlestock and stone glacier are popular also. If youre planning to haul meat, go with an external frame.

I'm still using the old Jansport pack my parents got me while in college. It works fine, so I've had no need to replace it. I do think when the time comes I'll go with a Mystery Ranch. I've seen a few in person and they are nice. Not lightweight like some others, but seem pretty bombproof.

Forgot about mystery ranch, from what I've read, they're a little heavier than others but carry very well.
