I'm a c3-4 quadrapliagic and have been deer hunting ever since NY state legalized the use of crossbows if you can only fire it by breath, I fit that category seeing I have no arm or hand movement.
I have a Barnett RC 300 (purchased it in 96) but a spring in the trigger mechanism broke so I figured I probably should order new cables and a string also. But a guy that has a pro shop near me that ordered parts for me once before said they've discontinued selling parts, they discontinued making that bow years back. I was wondering if anyone here had an old one that you weren't using any longer, I really don't care if it has a broken limb or anything as long as he trigger mechanism and cable are ok I'd be willing to buy it.
Thanks, Mike

I don't know of any off hand, but I'll do some checking around for you.

Go to a quality gunsmith and have them make you a spring to fit.

After you get the spring fixed ( Gunsmith was a good idea) get some one to measure the string and cables and contact a good archery store in your area they should be able to order some that will fit. Just because Barnett does not make them anymore should not be a reason to get a replacement string or cables there has to be some after market ones or some one that can custom make them for you.

Quad,
This is information that I got from another site for you.
I hope it helps...
Woody, I sent my revolution back and they put new limbs on it, all it cost me was the postage. I would call and check with their service dept., they might go through the bow and rebuild it.
How to obtain service:
DO NOT return the unit to the dealer. Dealers are not authorized to make exchanges, replacements or refunds on behalf of Barnett International. Please call our toll-free number (1-800-237-4507) for a Return Authorization Number (RA#) prior to returning the unit. Write the RA# on the outside of the package, along with the words "Service Return." Attach a note to the product containing your name, address, telephone number and description of the problem. Carefully package and return the product, transportation charges pre-paid, directly to our factory:
Barnett International, Inc. Attn. Service Department 13447 Byrd Drive Odessa, FL 33556

Woody, sorry for the late reply, I sent my bow back to Barnett International in 99 because a limb cracked right where the axle goes through the top side. They replaced them and just them and sent it back with a note saying this bow is severely modified and we don't want to ever see it again. In other words they wash their hands of that bow. I did call them yesterday and a guy from their service department told me of a place in Ohio that could possibly help me (a distributor and service for Barnett products) and they had the trigger mechanism, you have to send him the bow, that's ok though because he doesn't have cables but he can replace them with strings like the other newer bows. He won't even sell them to my local pro shop. Speaking of my local pro shop he gave me a deal on a new Barnett Quad 400 with a quiver and 4 carbon bolts ($279) are they ok bows? I know it shoots 245fps with 22"carbon bolts with 125gr heads, but the stock and forarm are plastic. It's real light and most of it appears cheaply made. I don't know how to post a picture but if I could I'd show you a picture of my RC 300 modified mostly by my brother to suit my needs.

I would have bought a ten point but I could never afford one. I was wanting to just try and get the parts I needed for my old RC 300 it shoots 285fps and its already modified for me, stock cut off and we made a chin pad for me to aim the bow and homemade sip/puff unit for it. 0 and on that post of mine I meant the Quad 400 shoots 345fps with 22"bolts and 125gr heads. Has anyone heard any prose or cons about this bow besides it's on the low low end of the $value. I don't like the fact that I've never seen and anti dry fire mechanism on their good bows. Is there a way to post any pictures on this forum? Mike

Here you go quad.. I don't really know a whole lot about the Barnett Quad 400. My suggestion on a new crossbow that is close to your price range and will serve you the rest of your life without any hassles would be theā¦ Vixen - Deerhide Brown - 150 lb - 14" power stroke - 285 fps Available at www.archersnook.com/bows.htmlFor $327..These people here are good to deal with.. It is a recurve limbed bow so you will never have to worry about wheels and cables. Good luck..
