So here's my story:
Man I was excited. But, boy was it cold out there. I've got the AR zeroed. Shooting 1" groups from a hundred yards. Deadbone caller goin' to town with the Lil Critter decoy. No luck on the first stand. A little coffee break and headed out to a different field. After an hour and a frozen face (looking into the wind), again, no luck. Third stand after a warm up, I gave up on the Deadbone and switched to the Ruffidawg Jr mouth call and started screaming across the cattle pasture like a Moribund Bunny! Oh yeah Baby! Movement in the west woods! C'mon out and play! Here we go!!! Close that 250 yard gap! I'm getting the AR settled on the trigger stick! Oh yeah! Two of 'em!! No three!!! And just like that, being the awesome predator hunter I am, I focus in my scope! Dial up the 9x and try to find my quarry! WHAT?! Yep! I called 7 deer out of the west woods. Come to me like candy!!! Never did see a single yote!

Why would deer come to the call though? That's a new one on me as well.

Why would deer come to the call though? That's a new one on me as well. So I am finding out that this call is very versatile. Guys have used it to call in elk, deer, and I’m not sure what else! I watched some video and read some forums that show guys imitating everything from a mouse to a cow elk with this call. Obviously, I’m going to have to do a little practicing here.

Might be on to something for deer also!

Deer just being curious. I used to have the most luck with the wounded woodpecker high pitched scream.
