Nephew trapped a river otter and ask me to do a mount. Told him I had never dune one but would give it a try. Here is the results. Pictures are not great and they were taken on work bench just after getting it dune. I started with a clean bench so you can see how much stuff you use to mount a critter. When it is dry I will have a little finish work to do on it. Had 7 hrs just mounting it yrsterday, that does not include the skinning, fleshing, salting and getting it ready to mount.

Looks great to me. Of course I've never seen a mounted otter before, so mine isn't an expert opinion, but I know I'd be proud to have it in my living room if I'd taken the otter.
I'd probably never have thought of the swimming mount, but I like it!

Looks great. Impessive for 1st time. Impressive to me even if it’s 50th one. Not many people get predators right that’s why they mainly do deer.
