These guys have got several states to change their mind on legalizing crossbows for the physically challenged. Read their success stories.... The Coalition for Disabled Rights.. The mission statement - The Coalition is to coordinate the ongoing efforts of disabled and able-bodied individuals working to achieve equal hunting opportunities for all hunters, in all states, during all hunting seasons. We want to ensure that disabled hunters in all states have access to necessary weapons accommodations, mobility accommodations, and accessibility to public lands. www.disabledrights.org/general.html

I can't begin to understand why any state would make it hard for the disabled to hunt in the first place . It's a good thing orgs like this are out there fighting for them .

Kevin,
My opinion is that it's NOT "the states"....it's the folks who live in those states. Folks who don't know or understand a thing about promoting hunting, folks who are just plain selfish and really don't want ANYONE except themselves in the woods come deer season.
