I have a crossbow trick-shot story, but no video unfortunately. It's been about 4 years ago now, I took my Barnett Quad 400 out for it's maiden hunt. I positioned myself next to an old barn. Minutes after arriving I spotted a small deer passing in front of a hole in the hedges in front of me.
The rules stated you must take an antlerless before taking a buck. "Earn a buck", so I waited to see the head. This deer passed in front of the hole without my seeing the head, but no sooner cleared the opening when I saw another deer passing by my shoot window. This time I saw the head, and no antlers. I lined up a shot and pulled the trigger.
This was my first excursion into crossbow hunting. I knew I'd made a good hit. I watched the arrow go home, and the sound...I was NOT ready for the sound. It sounded just like someone hacking a clever through meat.
I waited a few minutes, then decided to go for a look. About this time my brother showed up and said he would help with retrieval.
I showed him where I shot from and which way the deer took off.
He headed in the general direction while I started following the blood trail. I was only looking for 2 minutes when my brother called out, "I've found it." I stopped my tracking to collect my prize. It was small, but satisfied the "Earn-a-buck" regulation so I was pleased enough.
After loading the deer into the truck I told my brother that I was going to look for my arrow.
Roughly 40 yards from where I shot, I found a SECOND deer!
I had hit TWO button bucks with a single arrow. It was a complete passthrough. After loading the second deer I did end up finding my arrow. It was stuck in a tree, about 5 feet off the ground, and ANOTHER 30 yards past the SECOND deer!
For those unfamiliar, the Barnett Quad 400 sends out a bolt at the ludicrous speed of 345fps!
To date, this has been the extent of my bow hunting career.
It's going to be hard to top this...

That doesn't sound like a trick shot. It sounds like a poor job of identifying your target and what was behind it before pulling the trigger.

If he was in a tree stand than he already knew his surroundings and had only an opening for a shot, he knew his target was a slick head deer. Maybe the target just completely hid the smaller deer.
I see no foul. Given that he had a bundle or the extra tag...

I was very intent on the first bird and as following him with my scope and never saw the second bird. Stuff happens...
