With this sudden weather swing we have been experiencing it's hard to keep up with the Canada geese.
Last week those few that hung around for the deep freeze hunkered down and didn't move much, but these last few warm days they are returning with a vengeance.
While making breakfast I could hear them flying over the house so soon afterwards I took the dog and went out to a tree line where they were crossing as they were heading from a body of water to a feeding field.
Within minutes a low flying flock drifted over me offering me a shot at the outside bird and like that we were on the board.
I watched several hundred geese moving in different directions for the next hour and then it was over for the day.
I hope know body shoots a roost.

The last few days have been the way waterfowl hunting should be. On Monday I saw more ducks than I saw the entire season,Tuesday nothing and today unbelievable. This weather has been just perfect to load the area and my freezer up with geese also. Photos to follow.

Extreme cold did have them stuck in there spots and then they were everywhere the next warm day.
