9° with a chill factor of -35°, here in Martinsville. Going to be real hard on the wildlife for the new few days until the warm up.

Much like you featherduster, I just spoke with my nephews up on the farm. Major fight just to keep the livestock waterers powered up. Brutal day on the farm! So cold they couldn't talk on the phone but for a few seconds.

Westside of Cincy only -2. Sun stopped the temperature drop. Hopefully, the sun stays out.
Typical winter year.

My outside digital thermometer said -20°F. That might be as low as it goes as my phone app said -21° with a 20 mph wind for a windchill of -68°F.
Cold enough that most of my faucets in the house have the hot water side froze up....... Cold water side OK. One faucet had about 1/16" dia trickle of water, now 2 hours later it's up to 1/4" dia. Whole house instant on water heater that needs a minimum of 1.25 gpm to turn on. Hopefully that one faucet will start to flow enough water soon to kick start the water heater and then the pipes will start to thaw. Not looking forward to crawling around in a 30" tall crawlspace in the mud repairing broken metal water pipes..... The plumbing here is ancient, I was down there about 10 years ago and the date on the newspaper that they used for some insulation on the pipes was 1952....

Well poopie. The cold water was feeding back thru a mixing faucet so there is no water running thru the water heater... Wait 'till Friday or the weekend to see what's broke or not broke I guess.

Sorry to hear that! No fun at all! I’m about to replace a heating loop recirc pump in the basement of a multi story building downtown Indy. Not bad working in the basement. The problem is getting back and forth to my buggy for tools and equipment, 6 blocks away!!!

I hope it's minimal and easy to fix. Thanks guys. Hopefully nothing is broke, just froze. I'm afraid that it might be time to re-plumb the whole house in Pex. If it comes to that, I'll just hire it out. Will be expensive, but it'll get done a lot quicker than if this one man show was working on it. If it does get re-plumbed, I will have no connections under the house except where it goes from the 1" copper feed line from the bladder tanks to Pex. All the manifolds and connections will be above the floor, in the house.
