Yeah. Like $1200 bare bow for a Hoyt RX-3. I can buy 4 of the wicked ridge crossbows for that price.

I seen a Raven crossbow in Sportsman Guide I think it was right at 3 grand. Don't know why anybody would shuck out 3 grand for a crossbow.

For entry level it is tough to beat a crossbow as most come as a package. It is ready to shoot Add broadheads and it is ready to hunt. Most compound bows have to have the add on accessories before it is ready.. That usually takes a bow "mechanic" plus a LOT more dollars.

And you have to practice a LOT more with a compound to get as accurate as a crossbow. In today's society where they want results "NOW", the crossbow fits that bill very nicely.

Actually you have to practice a LOT more with traditional bows than compounds or crossbows.
I tried my 20# limbs out on my recurve over the weekend and I think I am going to be able to handle it. I won’t be able to handle hunting weight but at least I can go play around on a 3D course

So this guy is saying that if crossbows and compounds were priced the same that they should sell equally as well .... Im not buying that.
Price is a nice perk but crossbows sell for other reasons. My 7 year old son can stack bolt after bolt into the "kill zone" of a target. That same kid cannot even begin to pull back anything close to a legal weight compound. Of the able bodied men I know of who have made the change the reasoning is simple: its easier.
