I'm in the market for new waders after this season. I'm looking at both neoprene and breathable. Anyone have any recommendations on some nice boot-foot waders? Looking to see what people actually use and what has made it through a couple of seasons.

Will you be standing in the water or just using them to walk thru the water when setting dekes and maybe picking up birds?

Roger's 3 in 1 breathables have good reviews. Ther have zip in lines or unlined. Many on sale right now too. Mine are enroute for tomorrow.
The neoprene I have owned all developed leaks on the seams. I goop them, aqua seal them, flex seal with no help. Time to go with the breathable.
I have been told run away from the Banded waders. Pure junk.
Zika makes some....for 900 bucks!

Just got the Roger's 3 in 1 waders. I have big calves and these are very tight along the calves almost too tight but going to try and make it work.

Gandar Mountain was selling both kids of waders before they closed shop here in Evansville, IN. Shame to see another sporting goods store leave and close up shop here. Academy should have waders. Not sure what brand they have or if they are any good. I've not been there for a while to see what they sell. Wish we had a Bass Pro Shop here in Evansville, IN . I'd want to work there.

I use to scuba dive and wore neoprene wetsuits. They were sewn at the seams with double stitches. Not sure if they leaked or not as they were a WET suit. They just let water inside the wet suit between your skin and the wet suit. Your body warms the water up inside the wet suit and the insulation of the neoprene keeps you warm. It's cold water when it first enters your wet suit though and not comfortable until the thin layer of water warms up to body temp. When I use to duck hunt I borrowed a pair of rubber waders that had a hole in the upper part. They didn't allow any water in unless you got water above that hole area. Then it was not cool. Wading around Hovey's in a pair of waders with a hole in them is no fun. And it was even worse when I tripped over a damn fence that was under the water and fell down. I still own a pair of neoprene sock foot waders that I used to fish within the cold trout streams. They kept me warm in the cold water. But they were not boot foot waders and I wore wading shoes over the stocking feet.

Yep difference between duck hunting and scuba diving is the ppe should keep you warm and dry now wet but comfortable!

Just an update I went with Frogg Toggs Grand Refuge 2.0. I have a hunt on the river coming up in about a week so after that I'll let you know how they do in the cold weather. They are insulated and the boots are a huge step up from my last ones so I'm excited.
