Wow, I was going to start getting into bow's next year and it is quite apparent to me that you all are speaking greek. I will definitely have to look up what you guys are talking about. I do get the Speed and Kinetic Energy aspect of it, but spine, FOC and other terms I will have to do some research on it. Thanks though, good post. Once you get started reading online, if you're like me, you'll be overwhelmed by all the aspects of arrows, arrow flight, etc....

The short version is spine is the stiffness of the arrow, that will be dependent on draw length and weight. All arrow manufactures have a chart. FOC means weight forward which gives you more kinetic energy on impact. I.e. brass inserts or heavier broadheads.

I got my nockturnal red/green strobbing nocks, 125grain field tips and 125grain WASP Jak-Hammer broadheads in today. Along with my Trophy Ridge quiver. Getting pumped about buying a new bow. Just have to save up a few more months. Hoping to buy mid March. That'll give me time with it before turkey season. I've watched a TON of videos on the bows I'm eyeballing and have read a lot of reviews. Also read a lot on arrows and momentum.

The arrow company GoldTip has quite a few good videos on youtube about arrow related things. A lot of them are about building your own arrows but still a lot of good information.
