Buddy of mine took the beagles for a run, not five minutes the wolves struck. Lucky I guess, he only lost one. 200 yards behind his house.

Wouldn't matter to me if they were, being that close to my house they would be thinned somewhat, one way or another.

Yes, we had a season for just a couple short years before the anti’s from New York put a stop to it. We have a LOT of wolves where I live. I live in the middle of the largest population of wolves in the lower 48. Customers bring deer in this season said they were seeing more wolves than deer. Legally I would have to stand by and watch them eating my dogs/livestock alive.

this happened a couple hours north of me just across the Canadian border, they are allowed to hunt/trap them there but my buddy has no trapping experience and don't want to educate the wolves, he is trying to find a good wolf trapper to help him out. Yesterday as his boy was getting off the bus a wolf crossed his drive.

Educated or not, if a wolf ever crosses my drive he will chased with about 15 friends of mine that can run a heck of a lot faster than he can.

Educated or not, if a wolf ever crosses my drive he will chased with about 15 friends of mine that can run a heck of a lot faster than he can. This is the second time being hit by wolves for him, first time he wasn't so lucky and lost two. A friend that lives a couple hours south of me lost 3 last year, neighbor lost a cat dog two years ago, another close friend lost two cat dogs 7 years ago, I have countless friends in Wisconsin that have lost bear dogs, good friend from Ohio went to the U.P. and lost 7 beagles in less than 5 minutes...it is a gruesome sight to walk into!!! I wish all the tree huggers from New York and California that push for protection on wolves in the Midwest region could walk in and find their beloved pets stretched in half with their intestines connecting the two halves...or find nothing but the head with the backbone connected, picked clean of course.

The dang tree huggers need to leave the biology to the biologists.
Don't ranchers have a way to get repaid for stock that is killed? What it costs to get and train a dog, I'd be looking for someone to be held accountable, especially a tree hugger.

Wisconsin will give up to $1500 for hunting dogs, Minnesota gives nothing to dog/pet owners.

And did you know the federal government funds Minnesota federal trappers $220,000 to trap roughly 220 depredation wolves every year and that funding is usually gone by October of each year. After the funding is gone federal trappers are not allowed to trap the wolves that are killing farmers livestock...and the farmers will be fined if they take matters into their own hands....federal courts will not allow the state to control the wolves!!!
