It took the better part of a few weeks to coordinate everything, but my nephews and I worked things out to get after some ducks on Thanksgiving morning near LaPorte! As I posted recently in the Campfire section, I was trying to work a deal on a Weatherby Element. It came through and it was time to break her in on some feathery friends! Time will tell how the gun holds up, but so far I absolutely love how the gun shoulders and shoots. With the modified choke and loaded with BB and #2's this was the morning view: The first drake down was little too close: All in all the morning turned out to be quite slow but we loved every minute and another memory was made!

With the way things have been going over the past couple years 2 birds is a very good shoot for one day.

I agree with FD. Great shooting. I got to my MIL house in Hudson Lake area yesterday expecting loss of ducks and geese...nada
