Im in extreme Southern Indiana (hunt in Harrison and Crawford). We got a pretty significant ice storm Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. Earliest I remember anything like this and Ive lived here all my life. Anyway, I went to my main stand this morning and the ice remained so thick on by stairs I was unable to climb it. Hunted on the ground for a couple hours and came back and it was still too slick. Had snow and frost on stands before mostly in muzzleloader but not this early. Moral of the story - be careful and check your stands well before you climb up.

My main problem with the ice storm is the trees and Linda that came down. One of the deer processors and my taxidermist still don't have power.
