Hello from Vigo co. Not really sure how to go about this but I saw a similar thread on here so I thought I'd give it a try. I got drawn for the first deer reduction hunt at turkey run state park and I was wondering if anybody that has been drawn in the past has and advice or pointers they would be willing to share with me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Matt

Welcome! I don't have any knowledge of Turkey run but you may want to start a post in the deer hunting sub forum asking that question

I hunted that Park three years ago. Would never go back. There are two hunting areas. North of the highway and south of the highway. You are designated to one or the other. I was on the north side. There are two entry spots both from the east boundary road. Everyone goes to the farthest north entry. It is a circus. A very crowded circus. Too many hunters on too small of an area. If you go, be prepared to go way into the property to escape the crowds and if possible take a hunting buddy. Strategically, hunt the north end of a ridge which means you are hunting the bottoms. You will have a challenging drag to get a deer out of those ravines. Good luck and welcome to the forum
