The Indiana Code or Indiana Administrative Code does not limit the number of different species an individual may hunt at any one time. However, all laws pertaining to the various species being hunted must be complied with. For example, a person may hunt doves and waterfowl, at the same time, if they are both in season, as long as the individual does not possess toxic shot which is prohibited when hunting waterfowl.
The Indiana Administrative Code states the method for the legal hunting of the species. The code does not restrict the possession of the firearm but restricts the time and season which the firearm may be used to hunt deer. However, if you are holding a rifle that you have for coyote hunting and blow a grunt call, a reasonable person would believe you were deer hunting with a rifle. I would advise you to use caution and be very distinct in what you are doing and how your contact could be perceived.
