Switched from the small buck side of corn field to the doe side. It was like a party here last night. Maybe Mr big is following the herd of does?

In the city again. Had 6 does come in about 530 running. Stopped in the neighbor's yard a d kept looking where they came from. I thought maybe a buck, nope HUGE coyote chasing them for all he was worth.

The deer had watches on AGAIN. It started raining about 50 min before sunset, and I thought with the darker weather the deer would be moving sooner. Nope. With 2 minutes to go in legal shooting time I spot a deer walking in the field with the binoculars. By the time I got on the deer with the muzzleloader, it was a minute past legal shooting time. AARRRGGGG.

They were all gathered for the corn field party last night. But it started after legal light when they came into field. Did pass on one buck. Where is the cold weather? Not supposed to be 50!

They will cross early one evening and I will be waiting.

No hunting in LaPorte county this am. We had bad fog and rain. School had a 2 hour delay. So I slept in and put junior on the bus.
Will be hitting it this afternoon again regardless of the weather.

Good luck. I know lots of guys kill them in the rain. I have put in quite a bit of time hunting in the rain and never have killed one in the rain. Still doesn't stop me from going. Lightning and high winds with wet soil will stop me, but not rain.

Did that a couple times while it was snowing.
