Shot my wally world Wicked Ridge xbow yesterday for practice and to famillarize myself with the process. One thing I learned is I need a different target. My old target is screwed down as tight as it can go but the bolts still penetrate to the fletchings and they're VERY hard to pull out. I think a bag target is what I need, what does everyone use and what brand is recommended? By the way, the silencer kit I installed made a noticeable difference in the sound level but it's still a bit on the loud side, I'll limit my shots my shots to 30 yds. or less. It's faster than my bow but the noise level is greater, at 40yds. string jumping could be a problem.

Mine is called "Buckshot" by Morrell targets. Think it was around forty bucks five years ago. Arrows pull out nicely and don't sink in too far. Field points only.

I use a yellow jacket 350. You aren't going to get a crossbow as quiet as a bow. 40 yards is it for me as well

www.amazon.com/Morrell-131-Double-Archery-Target/dp/B002UIZWTEI picked this up this spring and it works great. I had an old block and my compound was going thru it. I knew once I started shooting my crossbow I was going to have issues. I tried one anyway and the bolt blew right thru the target and I still haven't found it. So I decided to get the target above and haven't had any issues from either bow. Works great and has different sides to shoot.

Suspend it so it will swing when you shoot it.

Rinehart 18-1 Is the best crossbow target I have found. Great for both field points and broadheads.

Woody: Back in the mid 2000's you recommended a bag target for my crossbow that was made by a company here in Indiana I believe. Are they still around? It's a great target, aiming dots on one side, outline of a deer on the other. I still use it, and removing the arrows are super easy. They only penetrate about 4", no matter how close the target is, I even use it as an unloading target with a field point and a junk arrow from a few feet away.

I just don`t see it happening.
