It’s a lot less exciting of an event than most think. Nothing like relief valve on a propane tank now that will get a fellow worrying

It usually sound like popcorn popping. It’s not a major concern. What is a concern is loaded firearms laying around. When they do start popping we know there is a chance of a loaded fire arm around and we may back out. A cambered round will act as if you pulled the trigger. Just remember when there is a fire there will be more people in and around the house than normal. This is one of those things most people don’t think about when they leave a firearm chambered. Myself, I prefer going home after my shift is done.

When I was on the fire department and we had a house on fire that contained bullets inside the house it stopped us from fighting the fire. We backed off and took cover as the bullets were popping off inside the house. It not what you want to run into when you are trying to put out the house fire.

What about acetylene and smaller propane tanks. My shop has several of both. They should have built in pressure relief valves. In the event of a fire they will release the gas. To prevent an explosion. That being said they like most safety devices have been known to fail.

What about acetylene and smaller propane tanks. My shop has several of both. When a train derailed near Princeton, IN's Toyota Plant they evacuated people within 1/2 mile from the train wrech which had several burning propane tank cars. These can explode and do considerable damage in a huge area around the tank cars. A Bleve is a dangerous event. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuPVEsQaGB0www.youtube.com/watch?v=woODnJI4CZY
