I never liked the term "tree rat". It sounds terrible. Who wants to eat a rat? So, a few years back, I heard a guy ask what a squirrel tasted like, and was told...chicken. Sooo, I decided to rename them "free range, organic limb chickens"....limb chicken for short. Sounds sooo much better!

Have you ever heard people refer to deer as "timber goats"? I have a buddy from Iowa who uses that term quite a bit...

The Limb Chicken Brigade has been the defending champions in the Squirrel Season Contest we've been running on here for quite a few seasons now if I remember correctly .

I have two nice shag barks in my yard that are usually a good indication of how the early season will be. They are both as loaded as I have ever seen them. I need to order more pellets!

I've got them all around the house this summer. Obviously they've never met me or heard the rumors lol.
Actually, if they leave the orchard alone, I will let them be. Sort of like watching them and showing them to the dog and then letting her out lol.

I'm over run with piney's this year. I had one on the roof scratching at the upstairs window like it wanted in the house.
