Did you put a floor drain in? They come in handy sometimes Most municipalities these days will make you put in a grease interceptor between the drain and the septic/sewer to have a floor drain in the garage. Not a simple or cheap process anymore.

Here is a bad picture of the RockSolid Garage 2 part epoxy. I have one crack where the two sides meet. I was going to control cut, but that never happened. Now it's time to build the mezzanine, deer hanging cooler, table saw workbench, beer brewing area, taxidermy area, and bee hive storage area. I think I need a larger barn. HaHa I forget: insulate 1st.

Had a huge weekend of work! Next is to run electric and water. Water will be next year. We cut out the left side clay/rock and moved it to the right side. My son then graded the rock with clay and added 16 tons of topsoil on top. I didn't take a picture, but graded out the back of the barn and added about 20 x 40 yards of flat usable bee apiary ground. The rock shown with the bobcat was the smallest out of 6 pulled out. Cut down to the shell rock. The driveway will be blacktop next year. Finish the electric and then build the mezzanine and wood shop inside (winter projects). Included is one stair railing out of two. Plan to build the other side this week. Yes, my whole body hurts!!!

Today is a good day. My county building inspector came out this morning (just now) and with the hurricane braces and grading completed I received final approval. Now I can start using it and building the mezzanine, wood shop, and etc..

Everything hurts right now. Just dug with a mini excavator three lanes. 1st dig last evening dug 42" deep by 110ft for the water line. Runs from house to barn. 2nd same length at 24" deep for #4 90 amp electric. Ran in 2" conduct. 3rd was a little 30 feet from gutter downspout to pond creek. All 3 filled, seeded, and straw. Didn't take pictures. Now inside tie ins.

I just brewed a brown porter. My son is welding up a brew frame so I can so no lifting. Gravity and two pumps. Hope to get this set up during the winter. Here are the pictures for the #4 90 amp cable and 1" water line. Here is the water an power into the house. Now the barn. Need to trim the foam. Picture from house to barn. It's 110 feet. Followed the wall to back corner of the barn. Left of the pine treen and inbetween the two persimmon trees. I will be cutting the drained water line in the home tonight after work. I can turn on and test for a minute or two. Still open in the barn. I set up two valves system. One valve for the water to the barn and one valve to drain.

If you don't want cracks going where you don't want them, I'd go rent a concrete saw now while you still can.

If you don't want cracks going where you don't want them, I'd go rent a concrete saw now while you still can. I own a concrete saw. One crack only. No more cracks. We did the left side and then the right. I know it would crack down the center. It's a fiberglass pour. This mixer tends not to crack.

The fibers in the concrete really help the surface cracks, the steel is for structure. I like to use both at the same time.

Just finished the 80 amperes within the house. Tough job polling that cable through 100% of house. Now the barn has potential 80amp and water. Now I need to do all the barn work. I already have the service panel, 50amp breaker for the welding station and 4 20 amp breakers. Should do the job.

Just finished wiring 14 inside outlets and 2 out of 3 outside outlets. One more outside outlet after lunch. Also wired 220v 50A for a welding station. Lights are scheduled to be here on Tuesday and hopefully be finished by Thursday night. Wired is pulled to the switch boxes. Just from switch to lights. Then 100% hunting.

Did you insulate with foil faced foam or Mylar?

No installation yet, but that will be next. Going with the closed cell spray foam. Seal the wiring and outlets etc. After the foam then the water lines. At least a little protection. Down the road build some walls with standard insulation. All the wiring is 4" back on the 6 x 6 to leave room for studs. All this will be next year. Hanging 4 led lights for now. No insulation for this winter. Using a space heater and hope to get the barn above freezing to 50, except the very cold days when needed. Costs add up! This November will be a year. To date: county use permit, gutters, skit boards around the barn, about 60 tons of fill/topsoil, gravel driveway, concrete, epoxy floor, electric (house and barn), and water (house and barn). Enough for one summer. This included 200 feet of new water line to house and new steps. If you remember the spring was a wash. Couldn't get gravel down for concrete truck. Had to wait to mid May to dry out. So 4-5 months. One busy summer. Only the barn construction farmed out and my son had to dig the holes. With the rock they needed an excavator. Lucky, we had one on site at the time for the water line. Son Sam dug the holes for them. Not many pictures, but here is the start of the service panel.

If you noticed I also moved my garden. It was in the way of the electric and water lines. It was on the right of the barn, but now on the left.

Wow spray foam insulation and you are worried about radio waves? I will be protected from living on a private drive. Far enough away. I do have my aluminum barn grounded per a 7 ft grounding rod. Should work.

1. A private drive does not stop high frequency radio signals. And if you thin it does then you are just as blinded as whitetaildave24 and need to wake up. 2. My point to you Mr. @waynes was simply that spray foam insulation is filled with various noxious chemicals. That produce off gas and are at least as great of a risk to your immediate health as the cell phones we carry in our pockets.

Look it up. Closed cell is a little better. Seal the aluminum dust away. Just remember at one time many doctors and experts told the American public that smoking was good for you. Soon your hear how bad vaccines are. In 10 to 20 you hear how bad radiation is for you.
