I am turning 18 this year; one thing I have noticed more and more is that my Dad has always valued myself having a good time when we go out hunting over his time. He has always put me in the best spots and given me so many opportunities to get my deer, even though he still needs to fill his own tags. However most years he doesn’t even get to fill his tags because he is so focused on me. With me going off to college after this next school year, this upcoming deer season will be the last one that we share before I go off to college. So this year I want to flip roles, I want him to get his deer before I go and get mine since he has always put me first ever since we started going hunting together. If you guys have any ideas on what I could do to make this year the most memerable it would be greatly appreciated.

Hunt with your dad in stand next to you. You are very thoughtful. Then when mr buck comes you can share that memory

I could be wrong but doubt it.

I would venture a guess that your dad gets as much, if not more, out of you getting your deer than he would getting one himself.

Document your hunts with him by taking lots of pictures and videos. Everything from the truck ride there to the boot prints in the snow, mud.... I would give the world to just have one picture of my dad and myself on a deer hunt from when I was a youngster...

Go hunting with him, all the other stuff will fall into place.

I got some help from my grandpa, he is gonna let me borrow his two man stand. Currently I'm scouting out the area where my Dad took me hunting for the first time over a decade ago. We haven't been there in a while, but he always mentions it when ever we pass it so I figured that would be the perfect place.
