If I hunt on deprivation tags does that go against my buck limit for the state?

NO. Depredation tags are permits to take deer during a time and for a purpose outside of normal deer seasons. The permits have guidelines that must be followed. Most deprivation tags require that a deer having an antler over three inches must be surrendered to a biologist.
