I would not have even taken notice except for the way the read doors open gull wing style. It was black in color and looked like any other boring four door sedan in the parking lot.
I wonder how difficult it is to open those rear doors when it's snow covered or it's raining or your in a crowded parking lot.

I'd love to have one. I would charge it at work. I think they were focused on performance and technology, not appearance when designing them.

My kids like the Tesla. But thw Chevy volts are more affordable. Neither is my 1st choice but there are about 6 to 10 volts in the parking lot at work any given day.
I don't know details of tesla but older volts get approx 35 miles on a charge. Newer ones are over 40 miles per charge. If your work lets you charge on their dime, like my employer does, it is a fuel saver. Then when running off gas the mileage is pretty awesome.

Just go with the Chevy Bolt. All electric. I drive too much for one though.

I get the "drive too much for one". I don't have one because I drive too much too, that and the price tag. BUT, from a performance standpoint, what production gas powered car can meet or exceed these performance parameters? 2017 Tesla Model S P100D 'Ludicrous Plus' Upgrade 0-60 mph 2.3 sec | Quarter mile 10.5 sec.
