Shot Goose after picking up all the decoys

So the birds were flying until it starts snowing hard and I'd only gotten one shot and I needed to get to a Superbowl party so I packed it up early. I was putting the last of the decoys in the truck and shutting the tailgate and here comes a goose. I knew my gun was loaded in the cab because I thought in the back of my mind I better keep it loaded in case something comes in. I see it's coming pretty close so I open the door grab the gun and drop the bird. First time I've ever got one like that.
