What does everyone prefer a discharge bag or a discharge arrow?

My xbows are rated at 330fps, but are both a little slower than that. More than half the time, they shoot THRU the little discharge bag. I have rotated the bag several different ways, but same result. Maybe I got a junk one? Now, I just leave the bow in the truck without an arrow until I get home, then shoot into big bag target. My Excalibur gets let down with the rope.

I have an unloading target in the garage that I shoot a field point arrow into when I'm done hunting. It only goes in a few inches.

Keep a bent up ragged bolt in my Jeep and shoot into a soft bank

My bow stays cocked until I get back home and shoot a practice arrow in my target in the back yard.

Use my Excal and the cocking rope. Works like a charm.

I keep a bolt in the truck with a field tip and shoot into a Morrells Yellow Jacket discharge target. I never had thought of leaving it cocked and doing that at home, but it won't fit into the carry case cocked anyway, and the back seat of my Tacoma is so packed with gear, I really have to have it in the case for travel.

I usually bring it home and shoot my target. If I'm at my farm I keep a target there by the pole barn.

I just shoot the bolt into my bag target once I get home. I only hunt the property I own/live on. Simply remove the bolt once it's dark so your not breaking any laws. I then place the bolt back and "pow" into the bag target once I'm home.

Old arrow with a field point. Bags are too bulky and I'm too lazy to carry them around.
