Planning on getting out with this warm spell?
I am hoping some geese might make it back up this way by weeks end.

Planning on getting out with this warm spell? I am hoping some geese might make it back up this way by weeks end. I would have gone out Sunday but birds in my area are gone and haven't been back. I could probably find some if I tried hard enough not haven't but in the effort. |

On my way to work there must have been 200 to 300 geese in one field. most geese I have ever seen in one place.

I don't hunt them but I had prob 2-300 in my corn field last night and several 100 more fling over heading back to Refuge. It is a major fly way. I have farmer leave some standing corn and the geese have found it. I got about 40 yards from them before some flew away. They are deafening.

Them seem to know where they are safe. As the hunters put their boats in, hundreds of ducks and geese are right next to the boat ramp.
Along the river there are thousand flying and in the fields.

We've got plans for saturday and maybe Sunday. One of the properties we've got access to a group of guys killed 7 different species of ducks in one hunt last weekend. As of yesterday birds were still using the one open pond

Our crew took a 6 man limit of geese (1 banded), 5 mallards, and a stud black duck today. Going out tomorrow after church for one more try at ducks.

Managed 4 snows and 2 Canadas yesterday. Saw a neck band on a Canada but never got a shot.
