It has been a long road for me to embrace the trail cams. Have run them on and off...mainly off most of my adult life. Started hunting with guys who are die hards and I got the bug to try again behind the house. All fall I got a few deer, tree rats and birds. I would move the camera every 3 to 5 weeks and found my sweet spot. Years ago I never got one shot from here but probably more to the camera and not the location. Unbaited, fairly high traffic spot for humans and animals. It sits 80 yards behind my back door to the west and probably about 80 yards from my neighbor in the woods. Figured I would get the same 3 does, mix of bucks and neighbor kid coming over to play. I had over 700 images and most were animals. Coons, yote, possums, feral cats, lots of deer, birds, squirrels, my wife, myself on my little tractor and several bobcats. This check is what I had expected from all the cameras I had ever run. Each frame with a bit of excitement. Here are my highlites.

I like trail cams, but for me it's almost totally separate from hunting fun. I really like getting images of deer that I never see and generally just random things.
I have two videos of deer chasing coyotes now and bobcats have started showing up recently.
