in another state.
In my previous question, I asked about the Deer Reduction Zone in LaPorte County. On that particular property one of the property borders is the Michigan State Line. The neighboring landowner (we are talking about the MIchigan property now) has given permission to my client (who owns the land in Indiana) and to anyone that he has hunting in his place to access his property to retrieve a deer in case it expires on his land.
Since there are no open deer seasons in Mi. right now, (and I don't have a Mi. deer license anyway); what procedure should I follow if a deer that I shot in Indiana were to run onto the Michigan property before expiring? I am assuming that I cannot carry my hunting weapon on to the Michigan property.
Thanks again!

I have spoken with an officer from Michigan and he advised to retrieve your deer as you normally would. The Michigan officers, if contacted, would be able to determine if the deer was shot prior to crossing the state line. He advised there is no special steps you need to take.
