I would like to swap a hunt in Indiana for a black bear hunt here in WVA on my hunting lease 1000acres total not a guide just a fellow hunter looking to meet new hunters soon as I figure out how to load pics I will post some at request or you can pm me your number and I will text them....... This would be for 2018. Of course Hey can you give us info on what is needed for a non resident to hunt bear in wva I looked at the eregulations but got lost in all the letters |

Yes sir , you can purchase a non resident Lic. Right at 170-180 that lets you just hunt bear and you can take two in my county and you would be hunting on my private lease which I run and have a total of 8 members and neither of us chase bears we have a total of 1000acres you can camp on the lease or stay in a close by motel atvs are allowed but not needed the property is gated and posted and no problems with theives or trespassers clear cuts and hardwoods good lease road I will post pics soon as I can get my daughter to help I’m techno dumb , or you can pm me your number and I can text ya some pics we had this year not all but some I saved ... the lic is good till December 31 which all our seasons end

Bear opens with a Bow same time as our deer late September to early October vine season is in during buck season in certain counties mine is one and you can take two bears in our county crossbows are now legal lic runs around 170-180

non resident tag is $189 with the $2 national forest stamp. I have gotten one for the past 17-18 yrs.

Thanks pse archery I knew I was in the area of cost going by past buddies hunting so closer to two hundred , what county you been hunting for so long or just all over , Hound hunter ??

I have a lot of family that hunt with hounds , they hunt a lot in greenbrier Fayette Nicholas and Wyoming and McDowell mostly on leases I don’t allow dogs on my lease except for coons and grouse we border other leases and bear travel so far it causes problems with dogs the leases they hunt are for just that bear hunting

Yea. Hunt a lot of national forest. Friend lives in Hillsboro and has camp in Lobelia. Run plott hounds

Hillsboro , that’s heading out of Lewisburg isn’t it close to the old civil war park I think , father in law has a camp somewhere up that way close to marlington a lot bears in that country , and around Williams river area cranberry and such , small world well Merry Christmas bud and good luck

LOL. I’d say so it’s hard on a hillbilly too LOL I’m 50 and don’t climb like I used to with bad knees but what ya gonna do gotta hunt LOL.
