I drove around today just scouting since our first duck season is over and goose season doesn't reopen until Saturday I couldn't find any ducks in their usual cold weather areas. There are some ducks on the lakes in town along with geese but not many.

I have only seen on medium size flock of geese by Hesston area. They are residents that have one white goose that fly's with them. They go from Willow lake camp ground around our place and to a few different ponds off hwy 20 that they get feed at. Duck never showed up this year...or last year for that matter.

I am going out tomorrow morning very near fish lake and was wondering if you guys have been seeing any geese featherduster bullseye69. I live on hwy 2 right across the highway from whisper isle and haven't seen many lately since the water has frozen. I'll be hunting a field so I hope I get some action.

There is only 2 places to find them this time of the year, their roost (open water) or a corn field. You want to avoid shooting the roost because they will leave and you probably won't see them again till next season. I don't get over to fish lake so I can't tell you if there are any hanging around, good luck let us know how you did.

Have not seen a goose in awhile now. Usually they get hit on the river and fly out to my ponds to escape. Ohio co.

They were in a cut corn field that was next to a ditch that flows pretty good and the ducks love it.

Went to chinook yesterday. Lots of birds but this rookie was unable to get that many close enough. The afternoon was dead compared to the morning
