Well it appears after last nights 23 degree temps combined with the MINI lake effect snow thing our neighborhood Wood ducks have departed. The good news is they were replaced by a few mallards...... and some of them won't be migrating any further.
This is the time of the season when things begin to get stale or in Indiana's case more staler.
Going to hunt in the morning then pick up till after deer season.

OK forget about picking up until after deer season, today the temps were in the mid 20's at shooting time which means that more small waters were frozen and that means more ducks relocating. This morning was almost as good as the good ole days, going to hunt tomorrow besides that it didn't seem to bother the deer as I had a small buck walk right by us.

It's easy when you shoot them as their tippy toeing into the decoys. Hence the name FEATHERDUSTER.
