What do you guys who live in the city do with the remains after butchering your own deer? Is there somewhere in the central IN area that accepts them?

I'd call trash company and see why they say but I think generally you cut up the carcass and bag it.

If at the lake I bury them in the leaf com post pile with the tractor bucket. When in garrett i cut every thing in small pieces and freeze it. Then place it in garbage can the day of trash pickup. I may make 2 or three bags for 3 different pick ups. To me it is the same as placing left over meat or fresh meat that spoiled in the garbage.

Yep, know many people who bag it and file in the trash container. Or, our work dumpster.

Around here, as long as it's not visible, of a weight manageable by one person, and not blood covered the trash pickup will take it. Just be mindful of neighborhood cats and dogs tearing bags open.

I used the trash company. I was forced to pull out a goose carcass one time. It was not bagged but didn't know otherwise.
I bagged them after that!

I would just bag and split up into multiple pick ups as others have stated.
