Greetings Well it's September the bucks are spent after the rut so things are slow, so this is predator month for me, red Fox, I do it every year for the farming community. Was out last night and seen two with the thermal imager on my friends farm. Shot the pair off a dead sheep with the hornet.
On the way home I stopped on the road and had a look with the thermal imager and picked one. Up then another appeared. I never shot although I wish I had after phoning the farmer this morning, seemingly they have cleaned his chickens out and asked me to kill them for him. Had we not been in the middle of a storm tonight that is were I would of been instead of writing this. Sorry Jack but tomorrow's job is take the 22 and get some bait to call them into and just sit and wait with the hornet and night sight on it. They have to go, causing damage. And with a bit of luck I may get a dozen free eggs lol. Regards Billy

I love predator hunting, just don't have enough time to do a lot of it. I will be doing some fox hunting in the UK in the next couple weeks with NV and thermals. Can't wait, never used the thermals before. Buddy over there said he was getting heavy winds today from a big storm. Good luck and stay dry.

Greetings Bulls eye. Where abouts in the uk are you going? Very little chance to hide with a thermal imager. I like nv if one has a job to do where one is waiting by oneself. But I much prefer the lamp, a friend and a flask of tea, more exiting I think. Lol. Regards Billy

We will be fox and fallow bucks in North Yorkshire. Hopefully wet a line also for some trout if the rivers banks aren't to full from all the rain.

We were fishing in Tighnabruaich and hunted Red stag not to far from that.
Don't know the road we went to Yorkshire on but we came from Manchester to Yorkshire.
I did get a ticket for 36mph in a 30 mph zone by a camera. On A660 and Otley road in Leeds is where they got me.
We hunted rabbits in Horton in Ribblesdale, North Yorkshire.

My friend and his wife was over on your side, candace was driving, she got stopped at 70mph on your motorways by a motorcycle cop. wound her window down and as soon as he heard her accent he says in his American voice, this aint the uk maaam slow dowm please, and that was it. lol She does tend to motor on at a rate of knots. Anyway how did your hunting go, successful or not.

Anyway how did your hunting go, successful or not. Some roads out west are as fast as 80mph. Most county roads are 35-45 and most highways are 55-70 depending on the posted speed limit. Did good on hunting got a 9 point stag and a large Roe buck. Shot a few bunnies lamping also. I'm pretty sure we will be going back next year, 4 more species of deer to shoot!! and a fox or two. Heres the pics of the bucks. hunt-indiana.com/thread/59680/leaving-usa
