Getting my bow tuned in today my release began to release early on some shots. It would consequently hit my arm. This happened here and there for about 20 shots. It has taken my confidence for the time being on drawing my bow. It's a Scott Silverhorn that I got last year. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if anyone had any tips to stop this from happeneing. Thanks guys.

I'm not familiar with that particular model of release aid, but perhaps it has a set screw to adjust tension and it has backed off.

Set screw backed out or stripped. Launched a couple myself that way.

I'm going to talk to the owner where I bought it tomorrow. See what she thinks and go from there. I'll mention these situations to her. Thanks guys.

I put up my home climbing steps and stand today. Still need to trim a few branches.

Early release can ruin anybody's confidence. Or I mean, at least that's what I hear.

Hahaha. Last year it happened a couple times before season. I called her and she said to tighten the Allen screw to make it less sensitive. I gained some cofindence back after killing a doe. When I went to draw on my buck, that's the first thing crossed my mind. Will I even get to full draw before the string releases? Luckily I did and made a good shot. But that shouldn't be a thought during the moment of truth.

If it was messing with my thought process that much I'd buy a new release.

That's my thinking. That's why I'm going to get it looked at today and may get a new one. That's not what I want to be thinking about rigor before drawing.
