Going tent camping with the wife at Dale Hollow during the eclipse next weekend. Anybody been there before?

Never tent camped there before. Rented houseboats a few time. I think the eclipse is going to be more near total here in Indiana than it will be on Dale Hollow. You can check it here. Burkesville, KY 42717 time.com/4882923/total-solar-eclipse-map-places-view/Nope, I was wrong. It looks about the same as it will here in Mitchell.

Dale hollow is supposed to be something like 98.84% total eclipsed, the totality zone which is like 30 minutes south, could not find a single camping spot anywhere.

Fish at night.
Pay attention to the fish pictures on the walls every where. There is a reason every one is wearing coveralls and hats instead of shorts and T-shirts.

Yes. You might need to register a camp site. There is some good camping at first pass island and down near wolf creek marina. I would try to rent a campsite at one of the marinas
