I will be planting my small plot this weekend, if the rains work out. Hoping the rains today through Friday will soften the dirt.

Those crickets drove me batty! I'm planting my plot this weekend I used to have way too many crickets, but this year not. I don't know why, but if I figure it out I will let you know. Same for the grass hoppers. Some animal is keeping the numbers in check

I need to get my turnip plots planted ASAP. This has been a real nasty year for weeds in the food plots. Have sprayed my beans twice but they are still pretty weedy.

I planted mine in spring, I plan to seed over in a week or so for a thick clover plot.

Soybeans looking good at my place, deer are burning it up. Planted buddies farm in the spring and it looks great.

I'll be starting the food plot cycle through all our properties this weekend....New22 this weekend...Swamp Property in week after and then Homestead and Riverbottom plots in after that...I will hold off planting if rain is not in forecast though. I have planted plots as late as middle of September but prefer to hit September and be 100% done with everything (plots, stands and such).

Cooler weather pattern is forecast, so the rains should be good. But, everyone knows how accurate forecasts are! LOL

Right. I don't like getting so many of my brassicas in before mid-August but one mix I'm using this year has rutabags included so they require a touch longer growing period for maturity...however not worried if I'm a touch early...just pray for an earlier winter hit.
I just hate it when weather is unusually warm in November or December and brassicas rot instead of stay "refridgerated" in the ground for the deer.

Depends what your objective is. Year round nutrition? Spring. Hunting/kill plot then mid August/early September.

Any help would b awesome! Nice. Your close. I'm only 10 mins to E.E. I'll send you a P.M. with my phone number. Mid August is prime to plant fall plots. Just need to look at field and come up with game plan. Give me a call and we will get you taken care of.
