Agree this is most accurate, but again within a week of same time each year. Like human's a buck's sex drive can be different from one to the next, so from Oct. 20th on I am in the woods as much as possible looking for overly frustrated buck's seeking out those first doe's coming into estrous.

I agree, I always try to get free to hunt from last week of October around the 25th to end of Veterans Day week and then first weekend of gun season. Then I move to my Ohio home 3 acres. There are a few does that come in late just before Thanksgiving to Thanksgiving. That's when I see the biggest bucks in the area.

Its amazing how something that is basically the same year after year after year (for a given area) can be talked about and guessed at year after year after year.

Its amazing how something that is basically the same year after year after year (for a given area) can be talked about and guessed at year after year after year. It's that time of the year when deer hunters are looking for that one "thing" that will make "all the difference" in their season. For some, it's new camo, or that new camera, or grunt call, etc...For others it's trying to figure out that "magic" day or two in the season when the bucks will just sacrifice themselves..... Whether those days are chosen with experience, advice or a magic calendar is obviously up to each individual hunter. Now before some of you think I'm poking fun @ any of the above...I'm not. As a matter of fact, I've purchased many of things I've mentioned and alas found that it really made little (if any) difference in my season. It did however, make a difference in my wallet... As Swik said...It tends to happen about the same time...every year...and while it took some time, I've finally figured that out too...LOL.

Ain't that the truth....I admit I was a top reader when younger. Go to the store with Mom on the weekends and browse the magazine section, buying all the new ones.
