I've been hunting (if you want to call it that) since high school, now in my mid-40's. I have a young family, so my time can be limited. Two years ago I gained access to some nice deer hunting land, and last year I took my first pheasants at the Atterbury put-and-take hunt. I was thrilled with the pheasants and want to hunt them more! I've never been that good a hunter because I've never had much time or private land to hunt, but I'm hoping I can increase my time in the field and bag more tasty critters. Welcome Dave, We have a great group on knowledge members and there is some great advise of how to hunt. You can search back to posts to read up on specifics. Good luck and hopefully, with a young family you find time. I remember those days. One year I never made it out and my wife said I was grumpy that year. She never let that happen again.

Man, I can't even call myself a hunter, so you can't be any worse than me. These guys have taught me everything I know about hunting, but do keep in mind that Jon Snow knows nothing!
Very happy that you've joined us. Ask question; the guys won't think any of them are stupid. I've already asked them at least once. Post often!
