My sister , brother and I went hiking on Sunday . It was a blast , We did a 3 Hr. hike and burned 3000 calories doing it . Lucky the trails were even open. It is a nice place |

The trail we were on was 3 . I'm thinking that's why on Sunday it was free for that day . Because to my understanding most of the trails were closed for a while .

yes shades was closed for a while too. Great park. About 20 min from home for me. Love the place! We get a park pass every year.

Turkey Run is nice, we've been there a few times. I'd like to see Shades next time we're up that way.

I wanna say Sunday was a free day to get in all the parks and camping areas. I know paynetown at Monroe was free to get into on Sunday. |

Turkey run trails are amazing, especially trail 3. Nature center and Inn are fun too.
Shades trails are great too and generally much less crowded on weekends. Pine hills nature preserve is next to shades and excellent also.

Turkey run is nice never been to shades. Grew up running woods just like turkey run it was always an adventure
