Twas a beautiful day on birds down at Lost River on Saturday. My son, a Lead Diagnostics OBD Engineer for Cummins treated a few of the Engineers on his team to a bird hunt. First for my son and grandson, so this was special in many ways, including my grandsons first lesson with a 20 gauge shotgun! And as always, I'll never tire of a bird dog locked up on point:

What's that funny looking chukar in the middle???lol Haha! Oh, that dark colored headless one!? Well, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. We had finished the hunt and as we were walking down the lane, both dogs locked up and then brother pheasant thought he'd tryout his sneakers I guess. He ran about a quarter mile and I called the dogs off! We then went into the woods so I could bring the dogs into the wind just in case the rooster hadn't made it to the next county. Saw the lil red head poke up out of the grass just as Pepper went on point. Rooster caught wind for a few seconds until Bam Bam Bam... and he got a bit tenderized!
