I thought for sure someone whacked Big Ten post season. He just went under ground for a while. I thought maybe I just couldn't identify him without antlers, but here he is still sporting them on March 22. I think Trey's buck lost his antlers early, but I can sure see why he would. Hey, do bucks fight like this without antlers or is this just for the girls?

Big ten is a fine buck! Are u sure those two pawing are not bucks? Well buddy, I'm not good at this stuff; I thought my button buck was a doe ...even after I field dressed it. I see some puffy stuff under there. I'm pretty sure split G2 lost his antlers early. I just didn't know if the bucks would stand up and fight without antlers. I sure hope this is split G2. I think he actually left the ground to deliver a punch here.

Those are both some big bodied deer in the fight pic. Sure looks like some junk in their trunks. Lol.
Big ten is pretty good looking. Only gonna get better!
My work partner has a pic of a medium ten with both sides last week, and the wifey and I jumped up a half racker yesterday on a hike. All up in the NW near South Bend area.

I thought this was going to be about basket ball when i reas the title.
Me Snow. If yoy can get a good look at the white patch on the neck each deer is different. Kind of like fingerprints. Some look simular but they are different shapes, sizes, posisions, and i evev saw one with two neck patches. Hope this helps you identify the bucks in your herd with out horms.
Added. Pick up any out door magazine and look at rhe deer real good. You will see what i am talking about

I looks like deer fight a lot like kangaroos. But they don't jump up and kick with their hind feet while balancing on their tails like the Kangaroos do. When I was young and in the boy scouts we went on a camping trip in Oct or Nov. it was cold as heck and I didn't have a sleeping bag, only a couple of blankets pinned together with safety pins or something. I ended up at the shelter house with the older men. I was not going to stay in my cold pup tent and moved next to the fireplace in the shelter house. The next morning there was a lot of commotion in the camping area. A large deer had started to exert his dominance on anything and everything in the area including the campers. It was in a pin forest and we ended up climbing up into the pine trees for a while until the damn deer left. He was chasing anyone on the ground and trying to stop them to death or gore them with his antlers. Must have been during the rut.

Humans act the same way when they have too much testosterone.
