I have a little problem and need advice on my situation , I keep reading on hunting state land for waterfowl .And they ALL read a min. of 3 hunters and draw time is 3:00 -4:00 Am , I'm still at work at that time even on my off day ( 11:00 -7:30 am ) unless I go on a Sunday morning or use a vacation day , but I still my first problem . I hunt a lone no hunting partner . I can't seem to find one close by . and my brother can't break away from his wife and other reasons . my sister needs a 2 month notice for a day off . My 2 options are hunt my uncles farm in Illinois and hope that I see waterfowl or join the hunt club that offers waterfowl , small game , pen / wild pheasants , dove for $1000.00 a season . And the hunt club has a cabin for $35.00 a night with a grill .

I would think if you walk into a draw with the knife you carry IN you anyone would let you join in their hunt group.

If I remember correctly you brought this topic up once before when you were thinking of joining a hunt club near Wheatfield,Indiana. Some things You should keep in mind is that club offers some limited dove and duck hunting and as far as the upland birds go that's a pay as you play deal. That club doesn't have a wild duck refuge and it isn't near a season long refuge so duck hunting there will be very limited at best and when the opening week of dove is over about the only thing they have left is the release birds. At one time there were approx.10 duck clubs around the Kankakee game preserve and $1000.00 could have bought you a seat in everyone and the hunting was fair to great depending on the migration. Today there are 2 at best left and only one may have open seats if you can get in, HOWEVER you will need to sell most of your worldly possessions to afford that club. kankakeemarshhuntclub.com/membership_priced.htmOf those 2 clubs only one has good waterfowl hunting but as the migration dwindles so does the hunting activity. You would be better off freelancing. GOOD LUCK.

I thought that I brought this up before , but I couldn't find it . So what I'm thinking is using the money for the club for decoys and such for the farm in Illinois. At least if I don't see any game I can still visit family .

I thought that if you went there for only waterfowl and dove, it was $500/year, the other $500 was for deer....

To hunt everything huntable was a thousand dollars. I figured might as well have everything I hunt would be in one area , instead of driving all over the state .
