In DP coon traps? Short window, 4 days max.
Long story, I'm invited to a friends place in Arkansas to try and get rid of a few pigs on his property, and he has at least a cozen coons at the feeder. He wants to think the herd so to speak. I have the traps, but haven't had a chance to use them yet. He has the license, I'm just furnishing the equipment. I will be down there 3-4 days.

Marshmallows worked well for me. Maybe a squirt of fish oil or anice.

All above. Mini marshmallows with a combo of anything mentioned. Even small dog or cat food.

I use Nutter Butters in my dog proof traps. Wasting good cookies on a coon? Tsk tsk tsk Marshmallows are my go to bait when temps above freezing. Not enough odor in the cold compared to fish based lures

Looking at the weather, temps will be in the 40's at night and the upper 40's to mid 50's during the day. I like the small marshmallow idea, cleaner than the fish, and I can squirt some fish oil or anise as an attractant.
There are 2 feeders and a small pond on the property. He saw a 'coon hanging from the spinner plate scooping out corn from one feeder last night. He was up 'till 1 am watching all the antics, deer would chase the coons away, when the deer left, 5-7 coons would come out of the woods to the feeder. The one feeder is 100 yds from the cabin and he's got a green light over it so critters can be seen from the cabin.
