I put an albino black snake skin on the last osage bow I built. It turned clear once it was glued down. It gave it a cool look, kind of like ghost flames on a car.

Very nice work. The snake skin is nice, but I would be afraid to lay it down on the ground. My luck someone would hack it in half thinking it was alive.LOL

I haven't really thought about building one. Last summer I made a 24" long, sinew backed bow that had a draw weight around 40-45 lbs. Something like that would make a good pistol sized crossbow prod.
