I have an older client that I've been helping take care of his property for a number of years that bought a set of elk antlers at the Feast of the Hunters Moon Festival in October. He thought I could mount them on a board for him to hang on the front porch of his cabin...I told him I would-not having ever done that before and now I'm wondering if I'm in over my head!!!
Anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? I've looked online at all the different suppliers for elk mounts-most of which are for sheds or separate antlers which these are not and I would rather leave them on the skull cap if possible.
I don't think my client is really looking for something of showroom quality especially since he is wanting them out on his porch, however I want to make sure that they are going to stay on the wall too!!!
Thanks in advance!!!

Get the plack you are going to mount the horns.on then get the horns lined up like you want them then.drill holes (3) thru the skull and plack the size of the new Bolts to are going to use. Mix up a bunch of bond on a slow set and put it under skull and.put bolts in with nuts and tighten till it is in position you like. Let set. Then use paper mashay or clay and Cover top, back, sides and any bondo showing around skul cap of skull to make it look corectly and as smooth as possible then sand paper to smooth. Glue on covering with slices in covering down back to go arround horns. Take rope and hot glue arround horns down back around skull where it meets plack then up other horn.arroun it.down to.other horn then.up Ready to hang. Hope this helps
