I really like the excalibur de-cocking process after hunting. Super easy and safe to do.
Just wondering do other brands allow you to de-cock the bow like this or do you need to shoot a bolt each time?

I always just load a field point and put one in the ground.

I always just load a field point and put one in the ground. Doesn't bury them past the nock??? I HAD a Carbon Express decocking arrow, but Saturday evening I hit a rock and snapped the big, steel point right off the arrow! Going to carry a bag target and field point in the truck till I replace the decocking arrow.

I carry a target in my truck. I've used the bolts with metal tip for $15 but have also busted the metal heads on them, I started just shooting into the ground and busted a costly broadhead, so I switched to shooting into the ground with a field tip till I ruined a bolt when it shattered, so now I shoot into my truck target with a field tip bolt. Perfect solution!

I had a cub (tenpoint decocking bolt) it came with their sling, (I used it twice) 2nd time the front half kept going through the target that I keep in my truck. I imagine if you glue it together and check it thoroughly you could reuse it. I went broke after buying my rig, so I'm using my bow target cube, pass through if within 25 yds, I use 3 hay bails as a backing to the cube. Or just a slope if I'm out in the woods.
Riddle me this tenpoint guys. We are only to use omni nocks. Why is tenpoint decocking bolts use an integrated half moon? Lol, I don't understand this.
